The long weekend has come and gone and while you might have been out and about galavanting you may have missed our super awesome and incredible special edition episode of The Parenting Show!
This past Sunday I was joined by Jennifer Valentyne of Q107 and special guest Cheryl Hickey of ET Canada (who was filling in for co-host and executive producer Sandra Carusi). We had a great time and maybe a little too much fun behind the mic.
This is it, we’ve hit the halfway mark on summer and so we got talking about our plans for August before the kids head back to school. Staycations or Vacations…Cheryl is hitting up the cottage, Jenn and her daughter Georgia are getting on a plane and heading overseas and I’m road tripping with the fam in province to go check out Sherkston Shores Beach Resorts for a few days. We also got talking about the importance of sleep, self-care, healthy eating and exercise with Gina Livy (weight loss expert) who joined us by phone. How to deal with stress and talk to our children about everything that has happened here in Toronto recently with incidences like the van attack, the city being put on high alert and of course the recent shootings on the Danforth that resulted in the deaths of 18-year-old Reese Fallon and 10-year-old Juliana Kozis (our continued thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims and their families during this very difficult time).
