UK based singer-songwriter Rationale
It’s been about a year give or take that I discovered a voice that I can’t seem to get out of my head. It’s powerful, it’s soulful, it’s beautiful and it belongs to Rationale (born Tinashe Fazakerley). Zimbabwe-born this singer-songwriter moved to the UK when he was 9 years old and learned to play the guitar at age 11.
When he first started his music career he went by Tinashé and released a few EP’s and singles under that name back in 2010. He didn’t have much success with them and so he moved onto songwriting and producing. He worked with producer Mark Crew who is known for his work with Bastille, Rag n Bones Man and The Wombats while writing for Rag n Bones Man and the Swiss version of The Voice. 5 years later Tinashé was back at it but this time as Rationale. He is now signed to Best Laid Plans, a record label owned by Dan Smith of Bastille and recently worked alongside Katy Perry on her 2017 album. He also picked up a few new fans that go by Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake and Elton John…not to shabby if you ask me.
His music is simply amazing and hands down my favorite song of his has to be Deliverance! Deliverance was released in March 2017 and has since been in heavy rotation on my playlist. Sometimes I even have it on repeat, yes I love it that much!
Here, give it a go and maybe listen a few times. I would suggest you close your eyes the first time so you can focus on his voice cuz it’s pretty insane.
