We are less than a month away for one of my fave fundraising events and of course I’m talking about the CIBC Run for the Cure! Great event and even better cause!
These days we hear the “C” word as often as we hear someone talk about coming down with the common cold and it something I don’t think I can ever get used to. The thing about this horrible illness is that it doesn’t discriminate…young, old, women, men, it doesn’t matter but what does matter is finding a cure! Imagine a world free of Cancer, how awesome would it be to know that we would be leaving our children and grandchildren in a world that they would never have to worry about such a disease. What if I were to tell you that I know a way that could get us one step closer to making this dream a reality? The CIBC Run for the Cure is our one step closer!
In just a few short weeks men, women, children and even some fury friends across Canada will be coming together to take part in the 2014 CIBC Run for the Cure. Not only will we be creating awareness and bringing attention to breast cancer but we will be raising funds for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation which will go to help fund groundbreaking research, education, and advocacy initiatives across Canada.
Want to help? It’s not too late! The Chic Mammas team is back for our second year and we’re looking for a few good people to join our team 🙂 . We’ll be running for a cure in Woodbridge/Vaughan at the Kortright Centre and we can’t wait. It all goes down on Sunday, October 5th and it’s going to be a blast.
