Just like that Mammas, Jon Snow is off the market, his heart now belongs to Ygritte or has it always? Their relationship in Game of Thrones was one of my faves, not to mention pretty hot. The scene where she dies in his arms and her last words to him were “You know nothing, Jon Snow” OMFG…am I right?! It was pretty intense and the saddest moment in Season 4. Well, I guess what people say about true love can withstand all, could really be true. Take a look at these two, death and all haha.
Today Kit Harington, 31 (Jon Snow) and Rose Leslie, 31 (Ygritte) tied the knot and it looked beautiful. The couple met on the set of Game of Thrones and have been together in secret for the past 4 years. It wasn’t until last year that they made it public and shortly after got engaged (September 2017).
In true Game of Thrones style, the wedding took place at Leslie’s 12th Century family castle located in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The guests included many fellow Game of Thrones cast members including Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, Emilia Clarke and Peter Dinklage as well as lead singer of Mumford and Sons, Marcus Mumford just to name a few. Lucky for the newlyweds and guests it was not a red wedding…..now that would have sucked big time if it was haha.
All joking aside, can we take a quick moment to talk about the bride, Leslie looked absolutely stunning. She wore a beautiful lace gown by Elie Saab, her gorgeous red hair was kept down with some curls and a floral cream headpiece. Harrington wore a three-piece suit with a black tailcoat, cream vest, and striped pants, looking as handsome as ever and they both wore the biggest smiles the entire time.
It all looked amazing but if I had to pick a fave of everything that I saw and read about the wedding, it would have to be seeing the newlyweds drive off after the ceremony in a rusty blue H-reg Land Rover Defender with a “Just Married” sign hanging off the front and tin cans in the back.
