Tasty Tuesdays ~ Homemade Almond Butter

1185994_633623310042746_1984374682_nYou are going to be amazed on how easy it is to make your own Almond Butter. There is only one thing you need, its patience! But trust me; the end result is totally worth it! Here is our family favorite, Homemade Honey Cinnamon Almond Butter! You can flavor it with anything from cocoa, vanilla, honey, etc.

HOMEMADE ALMOND BUTTER

Ingredients:

3 cups natural almonds
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp honey
Pinch of salt

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350. Lay almonds on a baking sheet and roast in oven for about 5-7minutes (do not over toast them) let them completely cool
2. Using a food processor, add almond, cinnamon and salt
3. Start blending, every few minutes stop and stir the mixture. This is where your patience plays a big part. It takes about 20 -25 minutes. Every few minutes you will stop and stir, as you continue the mixture will slowly start to look like a ‘spread’ but it takes time. You can then make it to the consistency that you like it. Crunch or smooth.
4. Once the texture is the way you like it, add honey and blend until well mixed.
5. Store in a Mason jar in your fridge.
