Josie & Jim Zetz

The relationship between a father and daughter is a truly special one. Our father’s are our heroes, loves, protectors, saviours, biggest fans, best friends and much more! It’s a relationship that can never be replaced or duplicated.
Being a daddy’s girl myself I can tell you that without my father I’d be lost. My dad has been there for me through thick and thin, good and bad and I am very fortunate and blessed to have him by my side. My papa means the world to me and I can’t imagine my life without him in it.
Well today my friend Daniela shared with me a story of a father and daughter that was so touching it immediately brought tears to my eyes. It’s the story of Jim Zetz (62 years old) and his 11 year old daughter Josie. Jim is dying of cancer (stage IV pancreatic cancer) and so his time with Josie here is limited and it’s obvious he wants to make the most of it. The truth is that he knows he probably won’t be around to see his little girl grow up, become a woman and get married so he wanted to take that trip down the aisle with her now. With the help of local photographer Lindsey Villatoro she was able to help make this dream a reality for the two of them and capture it for them in a series of beautiful photos.
Grab a box of tissues and watch how this father gave his daughter a gift that she will remember and cherish always!
