News has been released out of Kensington Palace announcing christening details for Prince George (son of Prince William and his wife Kate). The date has been set for next Wednesday (October 23rd) at 3:00pm and is taking place in the chapel in St. James Palace (the same location where Princess Diana’s body lay for a week prior to her funeral back in 1997). The little prince will be joined by the royal family as they celebrate this milestone in his life.
As for the godparents, those names have yet been released and won’t until the day of the christening. We do however know that 6 people have been chosen to play this very important role in the young prince’s life.
And what will this little prince be wearing? Well, it has been decided that he will be dressed in a traditional lace and satin gown, which is a replica of a gown that Queen Victoria had made for her daughter Victoria back in 1841.
