Baby shopping is NOT easy! Hang on, maybe I should explain what I mean first haha…when I say Baby I really mean Baby Doll…ok, we good now? Samantha is now 19 months old and when baby #2 arrives in May I thought it would be great to get her a gift from her baby brother or sister (you know to bribe her to be nice to the new baby lol…c’mon that’s the main reason why people do the gift from baby thing).
After giving it some thought I decided that maybe a cute Baby (doll) would be a good idea this way she can change diapers when I change diapers and she can learn to care and nurture her own little one. With that said, I figured ok, this is going to be a piece of cake! I’m just gonna go to the mall and pick up a cute Baby for Samantha but OMG have you seen the ones they have out right now? Can you say UGLY! I really wanted a Cabbage Patch Kid like I had when I was growing up but they’re not the same and they totally suck! Then you have Baby Alive who is a hard plastic doll; you could kill someone with one of those haha! Oh and then I looked into the Corolle dolls and the American Girl Dolls and all I could think about was the Chucky movies hahaha. With all the dolls out there you’d think it would be easy to find one! A cute, soft one, maybe one you could change a diaper on or that did something cool but nope, not easy at all!
So I took my search to the world wide web to see what I could come up with and found…you ready…the Baby Stella doll from Manhattan Toys! This doll is PERFECT and everything I’ve been looking for. She’s soft, cute, cuddly, you can change her diaper, buy her different outfits, accessories and they even have a version (Baby Stella Sweet Sounds) that says “mama”, giggles, and makes sucking sounds when you give her the pacifier…cute right!
