September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month and to show our support to all the awesome kids who are battling, beat and sadly those who have passes on we are taking to social media to cause awareness for this really important cause.
Did you know that…
- Every day 46 kids are diagnosed with cancer
- Every day 7 children will die from cancer
- Pediatric Cancer kills more kids than Cystic fibrosis, pediatric AIDS, and asthma COMBINED
- 1 in 330 children will develop cancer by age 20
- Treatments and side effects can last a lifetime for these kids
Those are some pretty scary facts wouldn’t you say? Let’s spread the word in hopes that together we can one day make a difference and live in a world that is cancer free for these kids and everyone.
How it’s time to take to social media, if you’re interested here’s what you need to do.
1. Put this as your fb status on your personal page “I intend to fill Facebook with comic book heroes for Childhood Cancer Awareness, Give me a like and I’ll assign you a character.”
2. Change your profile pic to a comic book hero of your choice.
3. When someone “LIKES” your status you need to PM them with the following message and assign them a character…”You’re up – Your mission is to change your profile picture for 24 hours to the character I assign you. Then write as your status: “I intend to fill Facebook with comic book heroes for Childhood Cancer Awareness, Give me a like and I’ll assign you a character”. Your super hero is: ….”
